Financial strength ratings, which are current as of March 1, 2012 and are subject to change, apply to John Hancock Life Insurance Company (U.S.A.) and John Hancock Life Insurance Company of New York as a measure of each company’s financial ability to pay claims and to honor any guarantees provided by the contract and any applicable optional riders.
